This was yet another attempt to build a bridge between my realistic work and the shoujo anime style. An artist improves by taking risks, doin' it wrong, and racking up failures, so I don't have a strong feeling either way about this piece. To me, the process is more important than the result. To draw, ink, color, and film a piece is a big victory for me.
Despite my infrequent gallery updates, I have been drawing much more often than I used to. I'm using my sketchbooks more often!
Inked with Sakura Micron pens on Borden and Riley Paris paper. Colored with Copic markers.
