Blue Victorian Maiden by Stagsleap Blue Victorian Maiden by Stagsleap
A Victorian maiden colored with Copic Markers. Her dress and styling is typical of upper-class ladies in the middle of the 19th century.

This was yet another attempt to build a bridge between my realistic work and the shoujo anime style. An artist improves by taking risks, doin' it wrong, and racking up failures, so I don't have a strong feeling either way about this piece. To me, the process is more important than the result. To draw, ink, color, and film a piece is a big victory for me.

Despite my infrequent gallery updates, I have been drawing much more often than I used to. I'm using my sketchbooks more often!

Inked with Sakura Micron pens on Borden and Riley Paris paper. Colored with Copic markers.

As always, this is lovely! My main critique is that the head is too wide--it kinda has the "stretched" effect--but your coloring and ability to draw elaborate costumes never ceases to amaze. :3
