Eeeee. I tried, I tried! I have attempted studies of those lovely, plush, Baroque and Renaissance-era boys in the past, and JIM-MA-NEE are they difficult!
Yet again, my scanner refuses to scan my yellows - he is supposed to be blonde, not strawberry. I have tried adjusting colors in GIMP before, but no luck. Anyone have any advice?

I love, love, LOOOOOOOOVE the coloring in this: the soft gradients really match the style of renaissance painting! I also like the way you've carved his face; the proportions still need a little work (there nose, lips, and chin are too squeezed together) but he looks much more 3D and realistic than you ahd been drawing.
